Larmer "Bud" Austin Leady, 83, of Millington, TN, passed away at home with his loving wife by his side November 16, 2017 from a short illness. He was born November 11, 1934, in Alton, IL, the son of Austin and Ruth Leady.
Bud served in the United States Navy for 28 years, achieving the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. He received a Navy Commendation Medal and was a plank owner and life member of the USS Saratoga. Upon his retirement, he and his wife settled in Millington, TN.
He was predeceased by parents; brother, Dale Leady; brother-in-law, Gordon Russell. Bud is survived by wife, Louise Frances (Pennock) Leady; daughters, Gail and husband, Bernie Roever of Pensacola, FL, Pam and husband, Larry Tondreau of Freeport, ME, Diane Leady of Millington, TN; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Don Leady of Tucker, GA; sister, Carol Russell of Bethalto, IL.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, at the base chapel of NSA.
